Ski your way to 3* North Conway, Boston - 7 nights

This New Hampshire, USA ski area offers an unusually diverse experience for European holidaymakers. The region has a plethora of good service restaurants, bars and shops, all with their trademark warm American hospitality. The resort network is popular with skiers and boarders from all across the States, with many returning in summer to enjoy the White Mountain National Forest and outdoor pursuits. Many of these - rock climbing, canoeing and hiking - are on offer during the winter. Another big crowd-pleaser is the Conway Scenic Railway. This Victorian steam train chugs happily across the Mount Washington Valley on special tours.

In all, the region has 10 different mountains to choose from, with literally hundreds of pistes and miles of skiable terrain. Snow cover is maintained through a long season by extensive snow-making. The 4 major ski areas have something for every level of skier and boarder. Cranmore Mountain Resort is a popular choice for families, while those wanting steeper and deeper tend towards Attitash or Wildcat Mountain. Those wanting the greatest challenges can “stretch the envelope” on the Tuckerman Ravine on Mt. Washington.

3* Merrill Farm Resort - 7 nights - bed and breakfast

Just outside North Conway, on the banks of the Saco River, the Merrill Farm Resort was established as a working farm in 1792 and has been an inn for over 100 years. The quaint rooms are furnished with antiques and a ‘down-home’ atmosphere prevails. The day starts with a free ‘rise-n-shine’ breakfast and after skiing there is complimentary refreshments including ‘soft’ cider and cookies. The various ski areas are within an easy drive and the twon of North Conway is just 5 minutes away.

Price includes: Flights to Boston direct with Virgin Atlantic, car hire (compact model only, upgrades available at an additional cost), 7 nights accommodation on a bed and breakfast board basis.

Price excludes: Car insurance cover, however is available from £23 per car per day (fully inclusive), or £25 per car per day (platinum package). Lift passes, equipment rental or ski tuition is also not included.
