For many, Isola 2000 represents the ideal convenience ski resort. A purpose-built town, it lies in the most southerly ski area in France, and can be a short and very pleasant drive up from Nice. This route is a spectacular and winding, all-weather pass with dramatic mountain views and drop-offs. The resort itself is focussed around a central forum, built facing the sun at the foot of the mountains. This houses everything a guest might need, or think they need. And for luxurious ski breaks and idle meals, many of the terraced cafes occupy sunny spots just off the piste.
In fact, life couldn’t be any easier for skiers, hoping onto the lower slopes directly from the main complex. The resort offers a grand total of 120km of piste and boasts a respectable vertical drop of 810m. The three ski areas of St. Sauveur, Pélevos and Levant sit in a horseshoe shape around the resort with a large, sunny nursery area at the base. Experts head for St-Sauveur for good off-piste and challenging runs. Overall, the skiing is ideally suited to beginners, families with small children, and the improving level of intermediates. After the ski action, evenings are a casual mix of hotel bar drinks, as well as eating out in the small local restaurants. Some offer traditional chalet-style dining - others cater with authentic French dishes. The more energetic guests let off steam in the resort's entertaining bars and nightclubs.

The popular Les Adrets offer comfortable self-contained studios and apartments in the heart of the resort. It is superbly located opposite the resort facilities and slopes. Studios sleep 4 arranged as 2 bunk beds in the entrance hall and further pull out beds in the main living area.
